John T. Crowder, Jr. graduated the University of Alabama School of Law in 1972. After practicing in Tuscaloosa, he moved to Mobile in 1974 joining the Law Firm of Cunningham, Bounds & Byrd. In 1975 he became a partner of the firm which is now known as Cunningham Bounds, LLC.
Affiliations
He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a member of the American Association of Justice. He has also served as President of the Alabama Association for Justice (1990 - 1991) and has been a member of its Executive Committee. He is a Charter Member of the "Pioneers for Justice" of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation.
Mr. Crowder has been a member of the International Society of Barristers since 1985 and was on the Board of Governors from 1995 - 1997. He has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America® since 1992. In 1986 Mr. Crowder was certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Specialist. He is certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys and has served as an examiner for the Alabama Board of Bar Examiners in the area of Civil Procedure.
During his legal career, Mr. Crowder has focused on actions involving personal injury, general negligence, products liability, insurance fraud, bad faith, medical malpractice, admiralty and maritime, and complex litigation, including class actions.
