

Mobile County, Alabama, CV-2000-2281 (class action on behalf of individuals and entities who purchased and applied exterior wood sealants manufactured by Behr, or who own homes or structures with wood exteriors on which Behr wood sealants have been applied; settled as part of a national class action in California).
With co-counsel, Cunningham, Bounds, Yance, Crowder & Brown, LLC, represents homeowners and other consumers that purchased and applied the Behr wood sealant products Super Liquid Raw-Hide or Natural Seal Plus to exterior wood surfaces within the United States since January 1, 1991. These Behr Products were sold primarily at major home improvement centers and hardware stores.
On May 7, 2003, the Superior Court of California, San Joaquin County, granted final approval to settlement of the action. Defendants were ordered to pay up to $107.5 million, exclusive of attorneys' fees and costs, to compensate Class members for mildew damage to their wood surfaces.
