Ovarian Cancer & Talcum Powder

|

Studies indicate that talcum powder can cause ovarian cancer when used by women for perineal and genital hygiene. A highly respected Harvard epidemiologist, Dr. Daniel Cramer, found that as many as 10,000 women develop ovarian cancer each year as a result of using baby powder in the genital area.

The first talcum powder ovarian cancer lawsuit was brought against Johnson & Johnson in federal court in 2013. In that case, the plaintiff won. Since then, there have been dozens of similar lawsuits filed.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer following use of talc-based baby powder or body powder products, it is important to find a plaintiff law firm that has experience dealing with product liability cases. Injuries caused by defective products make for unique cases. A plaintiff lawyer who has experience handling product liability claims will be able to help you navigate the legal process and increase your chances of a full recovery.
