CUNNINGHAM BOUNDS WELCOMES NEW ASSOCIATE LUCY E. TUFTS

Mobile, Alabama -- Cunningham Bounds, LLC is pleased to announce that Lucy E. Tufts has joined the firm as a new associate.

Ms. Tufts, a native of Alabama and a Truman Scholarship recipient, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2004. She earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2008 from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Ms. Tufts placed first in the William W. Greenhalgh Mock Trial Competition, earning her a place on Georgetown's National Trial Competition team. She also served as the Director of Training on the Trial Advocacy Board of Georgetown's Barristers’ Council.

Ms. Tufts is committed to giving back to the communities in which she works and lives. Before going to law school, she served as Executive Director of Impact: An Alabama Student Service Initiative, a statewide nonprofit organization that manages college preparatory, healthcare, and financial literacy programs designed to enable student volunteers to be part of structural and systemic change in Alabama. During law school, Ms. Tufts volunteered nearly 200 hours at the Neighborhood Legal Services Program in Washington, D.C., an organization that represents those who cannot afford legal counsel. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Citizens for Constitutional Reform, Inc. and volunteers for the Leading Edge Initiative, a statewide women’s leadership organization.
