The United States District Court for the Northern District of California determined the national settlement in the Chamberlan v. Ford case as fair, adequate and reasonable, and entered a final order approving the settlement. The settlement became final December 16, 2005. Plaintiffs alleged that certain cars manufactured by Ford Motor Company contained defective intake manifolds, manufactured out of plastic. Class members’ whose intake manifolds have not failed, will be covered unto a seven-year retroactive extended warranty.
