In Ex parte Phenix City Board of Education, [Ms. 1100122, Jan. 14, 2011] __ So. 3d __(Ala. 2011), the Supreme Court of Alabama granted Defendant's mandamus petition, holding that the Phenix City Board of Education had absolute immunity under Art. I, ¤14, Ala. Const. 1901, from a civil action alleging claims of negligent entrustment and loss of services brought by parents of children who were passengers on a school bus that was involved in an accident.
