Even though it was a rainy day in Mobile, many in our area still turned out for the annual Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk, including a team from Cunningham Bounds. Overall, the event raised more than $70,000 for the organization.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. Thanks to everyone who supported this event, benefitting The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and its programs to help families affected by the disease.
Cunningham Bounds Makes “Great Strides” for Cystic Fibrosis
A dedicated team of walkers from Cunningham Bounds participated in the “Great Strides” walk-a-thon in honor of family members affected by cystic fibrosis. Proceeds from the event will help fund research to find a cure for CF.
Cystic Fibrosis Walk
Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of children and young adults in the United States. Members of the Cunningham Bounds’ team have family and friends who are affected by this disease – and they are passionate about finding a cure. That’s why two recent events that benefitted the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation were very important at the Firm. Not only did most everyone donate to the Foundation in exchange for having the opportunity to wear jeans to work, but the Firm also sponsored staff who participated in the Great Strides Walk-a-thon. During the walk-a-thon, it was announced that more than $90,000 was raised “overall” in Mobile. This will help fund research efforts to find a cure for this disease.
CB v. CF: Can't Breathe Until Cure Found
The attorneys and staff of Cunningham Bounds enthusiastically participated in two Cystic Fibrosis Foundation events recently: “Jeans for Genes” allowed those who donated to the Foundation to wear jeans to work every Friday during the month of May. And, on Saturday, May 18th, a team of walkers participated in the “Great Strides Walk” held at Five Rivers Delta Resource Center.
Proceeds raised from both events will help fund research seeking a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
