Cunningham Bounds Awards Scholarships to Reaching the Bar "Spirit Award" Winners
Cunningham Bounds was honored to award scholarships to Williamson High School students Tyler Dawkins and Kimora Jenkins and Blount High School students Sakaria Simmons and Emmanuel Mack, each of whom was selected by their mock trial team peers for the “Spirit Award,” which recognizes leadership, preparation, and commitment to the team.
The mock trial competition was hosted by Reaching the Bar, an organization founded by local attorney Maxine Walters to help students develop courtroom skills and learn about the law.
Cunningham Bounds attorneys Lucy Tufts and Toby Brown volunteered to serve as jurors during the two rounds of competition, one of which was won by Williamson and the other won by Blount.
Congratulations to both teams for developing the next generation of lawyers in our community.
