CASE SETTLEMENT FUNDS BENEFIT UNIVERSITIES

Cunningham Bounds is pleased to announce that almost $50,000.00 in surplus funds from one of our recent case settlements was divided between Marshall University and West Virginia University for their Environmental Sciences/Environmental Geosciences Programs.

The case, Loudermilk Services, Inc., et al. vs. Marathon Ashland Petroleum, LLC, et al., involved Marathon’s sale of contaminated gasoline from the Catlettsburg refinery, which allegedly damaged the underground storage tanks of retail dealers in the state of West Virginia. This case highlights our firm’s mission of both obtaining justice for our clients and achieving results that benefit our society as a whole.
