The holiday season is a time for generosity, reflection, and connection, and at Cunningham Bounds, it’s also a time to give back to the communities we serve.
Each year, our team looks forward to participating in meaningful local initiatives that support families, students, and organizations making a difference. This December was no exception.
Playing Santa for the Salvation Army Angel Tree
As part of our annual tradition, Cunningham Bounds adopted 12 angels through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. Our firm covers the cost for employees to shop on behalf of the children, and the result is always the same: an office filled with toys, laughter, and a little extra Christmas cheer.
It’s a tradition our team truly looks forward to each year, and one that reflects the spirit of generosity that defines the season.
Supporting the Next Generation Through Mock Trial
In December, Cunningham Bounds also participated in an annual mock trial competition hosted by Reaching the Bar, a nonprofit founded by local Mobile attorney Maxine Walters. The program brings together two area high schools for a mock trial experience, with local legal professionals volunteering as jurors and observers.
While the competition isn’t holiday-specific, it’s become an important end-of-year tradition. Cunningham Bounds proudly contributes $500 to two students who receive the Spirit Award, an honor selected by peers that recognizes leadership, preparation, and commitment to the team.
This year’s Spirit Award recipients were Icyss Coleman and Emmanuel Mack, and we were honored to help recognize their dedication and hard work alongside both mock trial teams.
Giving Back Through Local Partnerships
In addition, our firm made our annual Christmas donation to the Boys & Girls Club through SATLA, continuing a long-standing commitment to supporting youth programs and community organizations across Alabama.
A Season of Gratitude
For more than six decades, Cunningham Bounds has been deeply rooted in the communities we serve, from Mobile to Atlanta and beyond. While our work fighting for victims and families in auto accident, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and other personal injury cases is often high-stakes and demanding, we’re proud to also support efforts that strengthen our communities and invest in the people who call them home.
As the year comes to a close, we’re grateful for the opportunity to give back, and we wish our clients, colleagues, and neighbors a safe, joyful, and happy holiday season.
